Dr. Cua is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in hair disorders, nail disorders, nail surgery, and advanced wound care. He practices at Butuan Doctors’ Hospital and serves as Clinical Associate Professor at Manuel J. Santos Hospital, while holding consultant positions at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital and East Avenue Medical Center. He completed fellowships in advanced wound care and in hair and nail disorders, including training at Ospedale Sant’Orsola-Malpighi, Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, and has published in the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, earning international research and presentation awards.

This lecture will review evidence-based strategies for accurate staging and risk assessment, pressure offloading, wound bed preparation, infection control, and advanced therapeutic options, with a focus on practical, real-world applications for improving patient outcomes in dermatologic practice.
