At War with Scars: A Multimodal Approach to Acne Scars
LECTURE
Dealing with acne scars remains a complex clinical challenge, often inflicting profound psychosocial distress long after active inflammation subsides. This lecture advocates for a shift from monotherapy to a sophisticated multimodal approach. By dissecting the pathophysiology of different acne scars, we explore why a “one-size-fits-all” strategy frequently fails.
We will evaluate the synergistic integration of energy-based devices, subcision, chemical peels, and injectable biostimulators. Attendees will gain a framework for customized treatment mapping—sequencing interventions to optimize collagen remodeling and skin texture. The session concludes with evidence-based protocols to maximize aesthetic outcomes and restore patient confidence.
